Certified Massage Therapist
I received my first therapeutic massage shortly after being diagnosed with a life-threatening condition in 1997, at the age of 30. During and after the session, I felt more relaxed and supported than I had been since before I could remember. It felt like a homecoming of sorts.
Motivated by this experience, I committed to receiving massage regularly to support my health and well-being. The results were very positive and over time I realized that I wanted to provide therapeutic massage services to others.
I completed a 780 hour Professional Licensing Program for Massage Therapy in 2002 from Ashmead College in Vancouver, Washington. Shortly thereafter, I was licensed to practice in the State of Oregon where I established a private practice focused on a serving clientele who worked in medical, dental, and wellness-oriented professions. I also served as examiner for Practical Examinations for the Oregon Board of Massage Therapists in 2002 and 2003. I became Certified in the State of Virginia shortly after moving to the Charlottesville area in 2003.
I live in Crozet with my wife Anya and daughters Maya and Zina, all truly my greatest teachers. I am revitalized by spending time outdoors and growing nutritional food in my backyard garden.
